Shirley Tverbut Obituary


Shirley Ruth Lyle Tverbut, 71, of Wintersville, took her place in Heaven Friday, October 22, 2021.


Shirley was born in Steubenville, OH, August 2, 1950; the daughter of the late Darl and Ruth Lyle.  She is also preceded by one brother, Robert J. Lyle and her beloved Grandmother, Nellie Quilin.  


Shirley was a kind loving person who enjoyed her card clubs and would do anything for her family.  She was Catholic by faith and a 1969 graduate of Wintersville High School.   She was a longtime associate at the JCPenny Company where she retired after 25 years.


Shirley is survived by her husband of 50 years, Stanley of Wintersville, one son, Jeffrey (Marianne) Tverbut of Wintersville, and one grandson, the light of her life, Matthew Tverbut of Wintersville; one brothers, Gary (Christina) Lyle of Oregon, one nephew and his family, Mark (Vicky) Rest of Columbus and one cousin, Kay (Bill) Sykes of Portsmouth, OH.

Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd, Wintersville Thursday, October 28, form 6 to 8 PM where Services will be held at 10 AM Friday, October 29, 2021.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the local chapter of the American Heart Association.
