William "Bill" Greer

William “Bill” Edwin Greer, 83, was welcomed into heaven on January 23, 2021. Born April 28, 1937 to William Edwin and Loretta Jones Greer, Bill worked at Jefferson Landmark for 42 years, spending the last decades prior to his retirement as General Manager. He served Jesus Christ as a faithful member of Sycamore Tree Church where he ministered as Pastor of Visitation. An active member of the Harrison-Belmont Gideons, Bill loved spreading God’s Word.

Bill is survived by his wife, Judy (Pyles) and daughter, Tracie Sampson of Mount Sterling, OH as well as his grandchildren, James (Mary) Tonner, Emma Sampson, Sara Sampson, and Laura Sampson and great-grandchild, Magy Tonner. He also leaves behind Judy’s family whom he treated as his own, Lynne (Steve) Modranski, Tim (Connie) Meyer, Leanna (Ray) Arbogast, and Brenda (Jeff) Wood along with nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his parents, his first wife, Kay Elaine (Miller); three sisters, Barbara (Matt) Copeland, Willmina (Frank) Carr and Virginia (Donald) McFerrin as well as one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held at Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville, OH on Friday, January 29 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The service will immediately follow with Rev. Stephen Modranski officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Harrison-Belmont Gideons, C/O Ed Moore, 146 East South Street, Cadiz, OH 43907.
